Dutch Lock Down Day Fifty Eight

I just packed up all of RDO Project’s hardware demo, swag, and camera equipment as well as my office phone, previous laptop and EVERYTHING except, literally, the laptop and power cord I need to do my job for the rest of the week.

Three.

More.

Days.

But first the news:

There’s so little Corona news and so MUCH other news that there are only two actual articles for today.

#WINNING

Can I confess something?

I’ve already started playing Final Fantasy Seven Remake.

Since Mother’s Day.

Just an hour or so each night between the twins’ bed time and the reminder to take my meds.

And then I save and turn it off.

It’s a tremendous act of will.

But also? It stresses me out to play it. Watching some television shows stress me out. Reading some books? STRESS ME OUT.

But it all boils down to how stressed I am, how guilty I feel about leaving the RDO Project.

Not leaving Red Hat. They’ll be fine. And, to be clear, the RDO Project will be just fine without me. But I still feel guilty about it. Stressed.

Worried.

The thing that keeps me from going to a dark place and turning back? And that keeps me moving steadfastly forward?

That worry and stress and fear is illogical.

And the opportunity is AWESOME.

I can’t wait to tell you more.

But first I need to get through this week. With breathing exercises. And chocolate. And gaming. And lots and lots of writing.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go weigh these boxes, set up the shipping requests, inhale some avocado toast, and take a long walk outside with a playlist that includes Lady Gaga, Coldplay, and Adele.
